From many years I wanted have Mikrotik router, but they was too expensive or I doesn’t have use case. But due to change ISP, it was occasion to change router – HAP AX3 (C53UiG+5HPaxD2HPaxD).
TL;DR
5 days with Mikrotik:
- Unboxing and quick set
- Benchmarking
- Googling for quirks to make WiFi better (coverage, stability and speed)
- Tuning up configuration with advices from my more experienced friends
- Due weird problem with stability, I got some advice to make factory reset and make configuration once again
And after factory reset Mikrotik was dead. I didn’t find any solution to fix it. Even recovery with Netinstall not working. So I suspect, that this router was broken after unboxing (stability problems) – fortunately I made return and buy new TP-LINK Archer BE230 Wi-Fi 7 BE3600 xD
A adventure with TP-LINK is so far, so good. After 5 minutes configuration, everything works stable and fast from few months.
